As we endeavour to showcase the history and culture of the Virgin Islands through our Museum, we have established a sponsorship protocol to help us raise funds and to defray our restoration costs. It is our hope that you would consider making a generous contribution to the legacy of OGHM, by consenting to one of the following categories.

  • Gold sponsor - $5,000 annually
  • Silver sponsor - $2,500 annually
  • Bronze sponsor - $500 annually

The importance of Old Government House Museum (OGHM) and its influence on the BVI community cannot be underestimated as its contribution toward the sustainability of cultural tourism is priceless and immeasurable.  Museums in the British Virgin Islands play a vital role in the interpretation of our cultural history and thus need to be preserved for generations to follow.  Under the mandate of the OGHM’s Board, our vision is to achieve prominence and recognition for the outstanding quality and vitality of the Museum.

On a continuous basis the Museum needs to maintain its luster and grandeur. It is the aim of the OGHM Board that, through community involvement, contributions and personal interests, the stateliness of this prominent attraction can be maintained.

At the present time restoration of parts of OGHM is urgent and will be a major undertaking, including:

  • Restoration of the Barwick Mural
  • Renovation of Master Bedroom where Princess Margaret stayed
  • Restoration and upkeep of metal artifacts
  • Preservation and archiving of photos of the Royal family

In addition to annual sponsorships noted above, Patrons of the OGHM may also donate a one-time amount of in excess of $10,000 and will be referred to as Patrons of OGHM.  Patrons will be recognised on our website and are entitled to unlimited access to the OGHM and use of the OGHM facility for events and complimentary access to the Museum at all times.

Your support will enable us to offer an efficient and viable cultural product and with your donations, the Museum will continue to be available for tours and receptions to both tourists and the local community throughout the year.

Let us join hands to build, restore and enhance this charming Museum.  We would be most delighted to tour and further dialog with you regarding our mission for this historic building.

Please contact our Treasurer Mark Chapman at [email protected] if you would like further information or would like to become a patron or sponsor of OGHM.
